New Christian Friends Witness to Family:
You may remember Sylvia Pacheco. She became a Christian a few months ago at one of the retreats we set up. She and her husband Enrique have been so faithful to the Bible Studies! And because our house has been inaccessible for vehicles without four wheel drives, they invited the group to hold the study in their beautiful home. Previously her parents had been in contact with us, either in our house or on day trips the group would take together.

Her parents are divorced. But she had invited the both of them to the Bible Study. And she shared the Gospel with them!

Apart from what she had already done, she asked me during different classes “David, would you please share with everybody that verse about how there´s ¨One God and One Mediator Between God and Man¨?” or “ David , could you read that passage about not making any images or idols?” .

I have had allot of opportunities to witness to them. I think her father is saved now! And her mother is just around the corner!

God Heals Two Marriages in the Last Month:

To our great surprise and joy, Sylvia´s parents are getting back together! They have been divorced fr a very long time, so this is really amazing!

Another marriage in which God has worked is in that of Jose Luis Rodriguez and his wife Lorena. The first time we met was when they showed up at church one Wednesday night. I asked for prayer requests and surprisingly our new friends asked for prayer for their marriage. I prayed and after church we spoke before they left for their house. A few minutes later Lorena showed up again. She wanted to return the Bible we lent to her during our service. But it was obvious that she really wanted to talk. She got her courage up and asked all of us if we would continue to pray for her marriage. She had her suitcases packed and was ready to leave him. Their beautiful toddler was in the balance. We all agreed to pray and I set up a time to meet her and Jose Luis at their apartment and talk with them. I was able to share with them God’s plan for married couples, and some pragmatic advice. I also shared the Gospel with them and I believe they understood. I praise God that they are still doing well, and are attending church! I am working with them in several areas to help them. And I want to follow up on the Gospel presentation very soon. Please pray for their marriage and especially for their salvation.

Church People begin to use their Spiritual Gifts:

It is exciting to see baby Christians begin to learn and grow! For the last two Sundays I have put young men into light leadership positions. One makes the announcements. Another leads the music. Another two take the offering. Another counts the offering. And another accompanies the music with the guitar. And others pray.

I have never felt so good after a church service! Usually my voice is shot because I used to do everything. But these young Christians have finally come to the point of maturity where they can help serve! This is one of the things I have really been working towards! And it is great to observe how God is working amongst us!

Young Man Begins bi-weekly Training for Spiritual Leadership!:

You may have read before about a young man who I Baptized a few months ago named Jairo (Hay-roh). I have been preparing him to be a future spiritual leader. We have been working at it Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:00 am, and it is exciting to see him grow in the knowledge of the Lord. Please pray that he will grow into a true leader of God´s flock.

He has shown a passion for the lost and has shared his faith with his friends and family. And it is so wonderful to see him used of God and motivated to serve!

Drug addicted Young Man Gives His Life to Christ!

A young man who will remain anonymous at this point became a good friend of mine. He and I exercised together and I witnessed to him and led him to Christ. He had been dealing with allot of things in his life and I was able to counsel him. Unfortunately he is a closet addict. But his problem became so big that he couldn’t hide it. He was admitted into a rehabilitation centre and will remain there for 3 months. Fortunately I have been able to drop Christian literature off for him. And yesterday he became available for visiting. He wished to be discipled and so we will do Won by One together. Hopefully we will start this week.

I am excited to see his life transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Two to be Baptized shortly:

We will be having a Baptism service in two weeks. It will be my joy to baptize our brothers who I have discipled. They decided to honor and obey the Lord His way and I was more than happy to oblige!

Prayer Requests: (Bold, Underline)

·We must go to the USA in July for Sonia´s citizenship requirements.

·Airline tickets VERY expensive: Please prayerfully consider whether God might use you in helping us out. One of our wonderful supporting churches has said they are going to help. But the grand total for all of our tickets is around seven thousand dollars! I am not sure that they will be able to help to this extent!

·Please pray for our near future. We are not sure how long we will need to be away from our ministry here in Cuenca.

·Paperwork for travel: We praise God for the progress we have made! We are about 85 percent done presently. Please pray for the remainder of the red tape to go away quickly!

Building Fund: It is growing! Please continue to prayerfully consider whether God might have you donate to the building fund. Others have come alongside us, and perhaps you will be led to be the next partner!

Website: Still working on it. Soon enough one will be able to look at a milieu of pictures and monthly updates from way down here in Ecuador. Please pray that we might get this going shortly.

We have allot more to tell you, but we will save it for our next update. If you have questions and access to email please write to us at ecuamurray juno.com Or if you don´t have email , we ould love to hear from you at David Murray Casilla 01-05-1842 Cuenca Ecuador , South America.

Thank yo so much for your faithful prayers and support!
