Dear Prayer Partner;

What a tremendous privilege it is for us to know that you are praying
for us and that you really care about our ministry! God’s work of reaching
souls and planting churches in Ecuador is such an exciting work to be involved
in! We are so thankful that He has placed us in this ministry.


Church Plant People Waiting For Our Return:

“Pastor, I want you to help me reach my family for Christ. Please get
back here soon.”

“Pastor, we want to make our church grow, but we need you here to lead us.”

“I received the call to ministry. I want to continue my spiritual
leadership training with you. When are you getting back here?”

“Pastor, when can we start our evangelistic Bible Study in my home? I
have unsaved friends who want to get involved.”

The above are all quotes translated from some of my emails and phone
conversations with our people from Iglesia Bautista Trinidad (Trinity
Baptist Church). We are desperately working towards the day when we can be
reunited with our people and teach them the truths of God’s Word and to
show them how to live their faith.

It has been heartbreaking for me to continue to ask my people to “just
hang on” a few more months until I can make it back to the field. They are new
to the faith, so they desire a closer relationship with the Lord. They want to
move ahead in the church-planting endeavor! But this has been very difficult
to accomplish without their Pastor. And although we are extremely thankful
for my brother in law, Pastor Diego Naranjo, who has been preaching for me 2-3
times per month and doing his best to shepherd my people, we are also
cognizant that his responsibility lies in caring for his over 120 person flock. He has not had the time to really pastor my people. Again, he has been very
generous with his time and continues to be a blessing to our people.

For example: at this point the people are meeting at Diego’s church on
Sundays and are gathering for a Bible Study and worship weekly as a group. This
is our emergency plan which has just been put into place as they await our
soon return.

The Murrays’ return to Ecuador may be soon!

We are so excited because we have good reason to believe that God will
be sending us back to our people by Summertime. Our target date is set for
May 28th! With God’s help and your good support we can make this realistic
goal.
Won’t you pray for us?

We have worked very hard towards this, traveling many miles, sending
500 info-packets via US mail, and making many phone calls. Thankfully, the
expensive investment has been beneficial, as many have been led of God to
become part of the ministry through financially supporting us or to
increase their support.
(THANK YOU!) We praise God for their generosity, and passion for souls
down in Ecuador!

There is still allot of work to do before clearance for the field will
be granted. If you have not considered it previously, will you consider
becoming involved in the solution? This will propel us back to the ministry and
to the people who have been “on hold” for quite some time.

We are not that far away from the goal! And just a little more help
will push us over that edge. There are various ways you can help.

There are so many people in Cuenca who have not been reached with the
hope giving, life changing , soul saving Gospel Message of Jesus Christ! I
have a team of Ecuadorians who want to be used by God to share this message
with their city and surrounding areas. We just want to get to work!

“Trinity Baptist” people receive help for Bible Study:

As I stated, our people are hungry for the Word. Thankfully Diego (See
Above) has given us one of his deacons “on Loan” who is leading a Bible Study
for them on Thursday Nights. They are inviting the lost and are excited about
their opportunity to learn and grow.

New Believers Put Knowledge to Work!

As you may have read in our email communication from last month, our
people are not just sitting around! They have been organizing camping trips,
men’s outings, evangelistic social events etc.! What a thrrill to see them
oput their learning from the Word into practice!

Thank you so much for your passionate prayers and support for us. Our
ministry of church planting and reaching out to those who would not otherwise
hear the Gospel message in Cuenca, Ecuador would not be possible without you!
When you read about new souls being won for Christ, and believers moving forward
in their spiritual walk, you can take ownership in that too! While we know that
God is the one Who is actually making things happen, He is using YOU as His
instrument in the harvest of souls in Ecuador!
