Church Planting Proves to be a Real Joy!

We are involved in a spiritual war (Ephesians 6) which requires careful planning of strategies and techniques if we plan to have success!

For example: Can you imagine leading music for a congregation who has never sang the hymns and Christian songs you were leading? Can you imagine preaching to people who have never heard nor understood theological terms like “conformed to His image” , “growing in grace” , or “on fire for God” ? The worship aspect of the service tends to be choppy because nobody has the confidence to sing brand new (to them) songs! The preaching aspect is very simple and to the point, because in this manner one may communicate effectively to the unsaved.

It is a welcome, enjoyable challenge! I am so excited and privileged to be used of God in reaching these previously un-reached dear ones!

Many Unsaved Attend Our Evangelistic Camp!

What a joy it is for me to reach the unsaved with the eternal life giving Gospel! At our latest evangelistic camp we had a wonderfully attended event! As one may have read above, over half of the people were unsaved. And most of the remaining people were brand new Christians. They played basketball, croquet, volleyball, and more importantly learned that God’s Word is THE Supreme Authority..over any “fable”, or “endless Geneology”.  (I Timothy 1:4)

One may have not foreseen the following: The Da Vinci Code had a tremendous impact on this Catholic Nation. Furthermore superstition and beliefs in fables is embedded in the very fabric of Ecuadorian Society. Reading where the Word of God commands us to avoid fables and endless genealogies was a huge eye opener and help for many! Furthermore the Gospel penetrated hearts and four people indicated that they would like to start a personal saving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ! Various little battles were won! But the war rages on.

Biblical Counseling Continues to help People

It is a joy to continue to be involved in people’s lives as I help apply the Word of God to their problems. It is a greater joy to see people begin to obey what they have learned in the Word of God – their lives begin to change! 

Please pray for Maria Agusta Moscoso and Andres as they separately are receiving Biblical Counseling for their personal lives.

 Please pray for others who have stopped coming to counseling because it is too demanding. Please pray that they might return, as this will begin to help them if they work hard at keeping their decisions for the Lord. It is impossible to win a spiritual battle if one does not train for it!

Opportunity Like No Other For Land

As I have mentioned before, a tremendous opportunity to purchase land for this church plant in an area which is sure to skyrocket in value in the next year or two awaits us! The only thing hindering this textbook opportunity is our lack of funds. But God is at work!

Vehicle Replaced

Thanks to your prayers and help, we have been blessed to sell our old 1992 Isuzu Trooper and buy a 1998 Ford Explorer. Praise the Lord! Thanks so much for your prayers and support! Without it we could never have obtained this essential tool.
